We welcome collaborations that push the art of textile design and help us expand the boundaries of what is possible with indigo. We also work with different materials, dye everything from wood to handmade papers, architectural elements and other artworks.
Artist Cesar Fernandez recently came to Tian Taru to explore the possibilities of indigo within his work. We collaborated on his recent exhibition 'The Absence of Void' to produce several hand-dyed elements.
The process was documented by friend of the studio, Zissou who photographed our collaboration and produced a limited edition book that was presented at the exhibition. Zissou has also captured many of our photographs and produced this website and our branding.
